On April 21, 2025, BLAZE MOB released their powerful new video for “Moving Over Barriers,” choosing this significant date to commemorate His Imperial Majesty Haile Selassie I’s historic visit to Jamaica in 1966. The conscious reggae group, whose name stands for “Born Leaders Achieving Zenith of Existence,” has created a unique visualizer that weaves together modern consciousness with timeless wisdom.
The video features inspiring quotes from His Imperial Majesty’s landmark United Nations address of October 4, 1963, perfectly complementing the song’s message of empowerment and self-reliance. Shot in the mountains of North Hollywood, the visuals capture the essence of elevation – both physical and spiritual.

“We got a role to play, no matter what they say,” echoes throughout the track, reinforcing BLAZE MOB’s commitment to conscious messaging and cultural preservation. The video, produced at The Dizzle Lab and visualized by Medhane of Quetzal Media, creates a powerful fusion of historical significance and contemporary reggae.

The release marks a new chapter for BLAZE MOB, showcasing their ability to bridge generations through music while maintaining the highest levels of consciousness and production quality. As Gyasi “Gong” Dennis explains, “The message is always in the music.”
